When Wanda works on other people’s clothing, she does her best because she wants people to feel good. Growing up, Wanda watched her grandmother make clothes. When she passed, she left Wanda her sewing machine. Working on clothes reminded her of her grandmother and made her feel connected to her. In her career, she worked at a dry cleaner and, after two weeks, wanted to try her hand at being a seamstress for them. Her natural talent and family experience made it so that she was quickly promoted. She also worked as a seamstress at Nordstrom’s for many years. Wanda decided to work for herself, and that is when Alterations By Wanda was born.
